Terms of Use

These conditions govern access to the website, its content, and its search features. Continued use indicates agreement. Anyone who does not accept the terms should stop using the service.

NO FCRA USE. This privately operated website is not tied to a government body, private investigation firm, or consumer reporting agency. Neither it nor its advertising partners provide a service for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or any other decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Its scope is official criminal-record access information for Iron County, Missouri.

1. What This Website Is

This is a private reference site with no government affiliation. It does not store official records, perform official checks, retrieve files, or submit forms for a visitor.

Content identifies the Iron County Sheriff, Circuit Court, Missouri State Highway Patrol Central Repository, Missouri Sex Offender Registry, and outside research tools that may serve a records question.

2. Rules for Using This Site

Use is conditioned on avoiding the following conduct:

  • Attempting unauthorized access to any system or account
  • Using records to threaten, stalk, or harass a person
  • Using content for an FCRA-regulated decision
  • Running bots, scrapers, or other automated collection tools
  • Interfering with site speed, access, or another visitor's use
  • Violating federal, Missouri, or local law

3. No Harassment, Stalking, or Discrimination

Information from these pages or linked tools may not be used to intimidate, discriminate against, stalk, threaten, or harass anyone. The rule is especially important for the Missouri Sex Offender Registry. Missouri restricts misuse of registry data, which exists for lawful safety awareness rather than retaliation or vigilantism.

4. We Are Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

We are not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and do not create consumer reports, official histories, or credit reports. Data from this website or a linked tool may not be used to:

  • Set insurance eligibility or pricing
  • Make a credit decision
  • Evaluate a worker or applicant
  • Review a housing applicant
  • Make any other decision covered by the FCRA

A regulated use requires an authorized, compliant provider and cannot rely on this website or its search widget.

5. No Legal Advice

The material is general information, not legal advice. Only a licensed Missouri attorney can apply warrant, charge, conviction, or expungement law to a specific set of facts.

6. No Warranties

All services and content are supplied "as is." No promise is made that:

  • Outside search results are accurate or complete
  • The website will remain continuously available
  • Content is current, complete, or error-free
  • The service is free from bugs or security flaws

Criminal records change as charges are filed, resolved, closed, or expunged. A page may therefore lag behind the originating office and must not be treated as an official agency statement.

7. Third-Party Services and Links

Links may lead to government offices, courts, legal resources, or outside services. We do not control a destination's availability, content, fees, privacy practices, or terms. Review the destination's rules before using it.

8. Intellectual Property

Iron County Criminal History and its content partners retain rights in the site's text, graphics, logo, and code. Written permission is required before copying, adapting, or distributing that material.

9. Limits on Our Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim liability for loss arising from use of the website, its content, or any linked service.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims, demands, costs, and legal fees caused by your use of the website or violation of these terms.

11. Governing Law

Missouri law governs these terms. Any dispute connected to the website must be brought in a court located in Missouri.

12. Changes to These Terms

Revised terms may be posted at any time and take effect when they appear here.

13. Cutting Off Access

Access may be limited or ended at any time, with or without advance notice.

14. Severability

If one provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms continue in effect. The affected provision will be narrowed only as needed.
